Frampton Construction has promoted team members Matt Small, Eddie DeSimone, and Amber Hollenbeck to new positions.
Frampton Construction Company, LLC, a regional full-service construction firm providing planning and design support, preconstruction, and construction services, has named Joey Smith as director. Smith has 15 years of construction experience in business development, preconstruction, project management, and operations management.
With a strong background in industrial design-build work, he will take a lead role in Frampton Construction’s regional design-build endeavors. As director, Smith will focus on work acquisition, company development, and building client relationships. He will also be responsible for leading project delivery through all stages of project planning, design, construction, and closeout. Smith will operate out of Frampton’s Charleston, S.C., and Charlotte, N.C office locations.
Smith graduated from the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Charlotte with a bachelor’s degree in industrial operations management and now serves as an executive board member for UNC Charlotte’s School of Construction Management and Engineering Technologies. He holds an OSHA 30-hour training certification and is a licensed general contractor in five states, including North and South Carolina. Smith currently resides in Charlotte, N.C.
