CHARLESTON, S.C. (Nov. 18, 2024) — Frampton Construction Company, a full-service firm providing planning and design support, preconstruction, and construction services, has hired two new project executives: Jamie Shipman and Eric Fix. With nearly four decades of construction experience combined, Shipman and Fix will pursue and develop projects across the Southeast, helping expand Frampton’s growing regional portfolios in the commercial, manufacturing, LTL logistics, and distribution sectors.
“Both Jamie and Eric are known for expertly guiding their clients and securing numerous repeat customers due to their exceptional level of service,” said Chad Frampton, president and CEO of Frampton Construction. “Their technical and interpersonal skills align with Frampton’s values, as we pride ourselves on building relationships in addition to long-lasting structures. It was an easy decision to add their expertise to our leadership team.”
Shipman has delivered projects for top manufacturers like Boeing and BMW. The Clemson University graduate has also worked with various federal defense agencies, gaining expertise in developing construction solutions for clients with highly technical and proprietary methods, technology and equipment. Shipman oversaw preconstruction, budgeting services, subcontractor procurement, construction and closeout services for the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) field office in Columbia, South Carolina. The sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF) required significant site-specific safety and security measures due to the sensitive information stored and processed within the building.
Fix, a University of Cincinnati graduate, has worked in multiple construction sectors, including healthcare, K-12, higher education, and, most recently, data centers. He’s also knowledgeable in terms of the most suitable delivery methods for each project, particularly design-build. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he led the preconstruction and construction of a 260,000-square-foot new bed tower with 108 patient rooms for Atrium Health. His team’s steadfast execution during the pandemic allowed for critical care to be delivered when it was needed most. Throughout his career, Fix has been recognized for his attention to detail and dedication to customer service.
Shipman will be based in Charleston, and Fix will work primarily from Frampton’s Charlotte office. Both joined Frampton on November 13, 2024.
