Frampton Construction tapped to build Delta Industrial Park
Frampton Construction is underway on construction of Delta Industrial Park in Gastonia, N.C.
CHARLESTON, SC (September 26, 2024) — Frampton Construction has started construction on the expansion and renovation of Charleston Veterinary Referral Center (CVRC), a leading emergency and specialty veterinary facility in Charleston, South Carolina. This marks the second major project between the two entities, with Frampton having previously renovated the facility in 2011. The two-phase project will double CVRC’s operational footprint, adding 16,355 square feet of space during Phase I and renovating the existing 16,345 square-foot structure in Phase II.
The project will significantly enhance CVRC's capacity to serve Charleston’s veterinary needs. The expansion will include five advanced surgical operating rooms, 19 exam rooms, and other state-of-the-art facilities designed to improve patient and staff experiences. In addition to expanding treatment areas, 130 parking spaces will be added to accommodate growth.
One of the standout features of the project is the integration of a linear accelerator (LINAC), cutting-edge medical equipment that uses high-energy radiation to treat cancer in animals while minimizing damage to healthy tissue. The facility will also incorporate specialized dog-run areas with pet-friendly turf and a mobile MRI trailer for added diagnostic capabilities.
The Frampton team provided critical permitting assistance to streamline the project’s early phases. With construction underway, the partnership between Frampton and CVRC is set to deliver a cutting-edge veterinary center that will meet the growing demands of the Charleston community by November 2025. The project was designed by BDA Architecture, and Independence Engineering served as the civil engineer.
