Frampton & Associates becomes Frampton Construction

New leadership team in place to take company forward to a new era

Charleston, S.C. – The company that started as Limehouse & Frampton in 1977 and became Frampton & Associates in 1993, will now become Frampton Construction to mark a new generation and new chapter in its history. According to the company, the name better reflects their passion and vision for the future as they expand offerings to more industries across the region. With offices here and in Charlotte, they provide planning and design support, preconstruction, construction services and sustainability services throughout the Carolinas.

The new management team will be led by Chad Frampton, the son of founder, Charles Frampton. As president and CEO, Frampton leads the firm in overall planning and company direction. Starting in 2007, he served on the management team for the former Frampton & Associates. Prior to that, Frampton was project manager. In 2010, he assumed an executive leadership role and led the company to four consecutive record years in growth and sales. Frampton takes great honor in the opportunity to lead Frampton Construction as a second generation construction firm. He earned a degree in business administration from Newberry College, in Newberry, South Carolina. Frampton resides in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.

Tom Black joins the company as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Based here, Black will manage daily operations of the business. As chief operating officer, he also leads the company’s administration, project management and market-specific business development.

Previously, Black served as vice president and general manager for Roy Anderson Corporation, in Jackson, Mississippi. He has almost three decades of construction and management experience bridging all roles and responsibilities of a commercial general contractor, including leadership positions in preconstruction and project management. Black holds a B.S. degree from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. A native of Nashville, Tenn., Black resides on James Island.

Keaton J. Green, who serves as director, first started with the company in 2002. He left to pursue a college degree and to further his construction training. He returned to the company in 2013 to manage construction projects as project manager, then as director. Green is responsible for growth of the Charlotte operations, as well as for the company’s project management systems, innovation and team development.

Green, who holds a B.S. in construction science and management from Clemson University, formerly served as founder and CEO of Green Construction Consulting, LLC, in Charlotte, N.C. Prior to that, he served as senior project engineer for Holder Construction Company, an ENR top 50 contractor. Green is a LEED certified accredited professional for building construction and design. He lives in Charlotte.

Although the Frampton team will stay true to their original values, they are excited about going forward with a new image, clear vision and a growing business, embracing the same core values. “At Frampton Construction, we work hard to deliver quality service with hands-on involvement at every step of the conception, design and building process. We like to apply large firm processes with a small company mindset and a personable approach. Since our founding, the philosophy has always been that relationships are the pinnacle of good business. That’s what has made us successful, and we’ll never stop making that our primary focus,” according to Chad Frampton, president and CEO.

Eric Carlson, president of Streit USA, commented, “Frampton Construction built our new facility here at Palmetto Commerce Parkway, and we are thrilled to show it off as one of the premier manufacturing facilities in the armored vehicle manufacturing industry. Our competition is envious!”

Frampton adds, “One of our key values speaks to how our success is defined by that of our clients. We work to understand their vision and expectations, build trust within the partnership, and to communicate effectively. Using this business method with every project and client ensures that we embrace and execute their vision precisely and surpass their expectations.”
