Don Skinner

Don Skinner

Don Skinner is a native of Boston, M.A. and now lives in Weddington, N.C. with his wife, Laura and their son, Samuel. He enjoys working out, playing hockey, and fishing.

Why did you choose to enter the Construction Industry?

My grandfather was a union painter in Boston and he used to take me to work with him sometimes when I was young.  This is what initially made me interested in construction and I just continued to gravitate towards it as I got older.  I was a laborer in the summertime while I was in High School and College and I loved everything about it.  Based on those experiences I knew that construction was something I was passionate about and what I wanted to do in life.

Tell us something interesting about yourself.

I’m a really good fisherman.  Growing up, my grandfather used to take me fishing a lot and over the years I got really good at it.  I grew up close to the ocean so I would saltwater fish as well as freshwater fish.  It is easily my favorite hobby and something I could do all day, every day.

Tell us something you are proud of.

My son.  Watching him learn new things every day is so amazing to witness. Seeing him is always the highlight of my day when I get home from work.

What Customers are saying

Frampton was originally interviewed for our Corporate Office in Columbia and although not selected, the Frampton team not only impressed me but also the owners of the company so much so that we decided after that interview that Frampton should be included on our very short list of contractors to handle our projects throughout our service area in the Sunbelt.  Like all of our contractors we started out with a couple small renovations projects and progressed to much larger turnkey/design build service centers. Frampton has been a pleasure to work with. Their attention to detail and continuous improvement for quality and cost control to the owner is very much appreciated. The Southeastern team looks forward to many more successful projects with the Frampton team.
