MENUMENU

Selby Austin

Selby Austin

Hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, Selby is the son of Chip and Kathryn Austin and big brother to Webster Austin. He enjoys outdoor activities and sports, including lacrosse and ice hockey. While in college, he formed the Sewanee Men’s Ice Hockey Club. He also served as captain of his college lacrosse team.

Why did you choose to enter the Construction Industry?

I chose the construction industry because of the opportunity to succeed through hard work and precision. I am inspired by the Frampton team work ethic. I also like seeing a project come together. Construction is such a visually tangible field of work, and that excites me.

Tell us something interesting about yourself

I play guitar and sing for a rock band, Easy Honey, and plan to release a full-length album this coming fall.

What is something you’d still like to achieve?

I am inspired by the idea of building and preserving the environment. Environmental sustainability is important to me, and I want to become a LEED AP. I hope to work towards incorporating greater use of recycled materials in Frampton projects. I believe green construction is the future, if not the norm in today’s construction trade, and Frampton can easily be a leader in the field.
