Seely Pavilion at the Grove Park Inn

Asheville, NC 10,000 SQ FT

The Seely Pavilion and Event Lawn sits at the southern base of the historic Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC, a premiere vacation resort built in 1913 that is located along the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The pavilion and event lawn provide this high-profile resort with a prime event venue. The facility features a heavy Douglas fir timber structure with indigenous dry-stack stone columns and full-height glass curtain walls that afford guests panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Donald Ross-designed golf course. A challenging aspect of this project was relocating an existing 12-inch waterline that crossed the site of the pavilion building pad. The waterline relocation required close coordination with other parties to minimize impact to the public.
